The standard engine in the Ram 1500 is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine with eTorque. The standard engine produces 269 lb-ft of torque, 305 horsepower, and a maximum towing capacity of 7,730 pounds.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado Power & Handling

Chevrolet offers several different engines for the 2019 Silverado that are all tied to specific trim levels. The base model comes with a 4.3-liter V6 engine that pushes out 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. The V6 comes mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The LT model receives a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine which makes 310 hp and 348 lb-ft of torque. While the LT Trail Boss and the LTZ come standard with a 5.3-liter V8 engine that kicks out 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. If you are looking for even more horsepower you can outfit either the LTZ or High Country models with a 6.2-liter V8 engine which makes 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission while all other engines come mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 2019 Ram 1500 starts things out with the Tradesman model which comes standard with heated side mirrors, a locking tailgate, trailer sway control, and a Class III hitch receiver. The Big Horn model tacks on fog lights, cloth upholstery, and tinted windows. The off-road-ready Rebel model comes with off-road tires, skid plates, hill descent control, fortified shocks, a Class IV hitch receiver, and LED headlights. The creature-comfort-oriented Laramie model comes standard with heated and ventilated front outboard seats, leather upholstery, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, front and rear parking sensors, and a heated steering wheel. The Longhorn model then tacks on heated and ventilated reclining rear seats, navigation, a power tailgate release, and a spray-in bed liner. The Limited model then rounds out the model lineup with power-retractable side steps, blind-spot monitoring, and air suspension. 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Features & Design

Eight different trim levels are available for the 2019 Silverado. The base WT model comes standard with smartphone integration, Bluetooth, air conditioning, and a 7-inch touchscreen. The Custom only adds power mirrors, remote entry, and cruise control. The Custom Trail Boss just adds a trailering package, off-road suspension, and different wheels. The LT model adds a larger 8-inch touchscreen and LED headlights. While the RST adds a power-locking tailgate and remote start. The LTZ adds heated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and navigation. The top of the line High Country tacks on front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and ventilated front seats.

Woah! The features list of each model of the 2019 Ram 1500 is simply outstanding! We love the heated and ventilated front and rear seats that come with the Laramie model. Something you simply can't get standard on the Chevrolet Silverado. The Ram 1500 also offers pretty remarkable towing capabilities and comes standard with a tow hitch so you can start towing as soon as you drive off of the lot!
