The original Black Ghost, a sleek black 1970 Dodge Challenger RT SE (special edition), belonged to the one and only Godfrey Qualls. During the '70s, this beastly Challenger became a legend on Woodward Avenue, thanks to its thunderous 426 HEMI engine. It would tear down the street, leaving a trail of awe-struck onlookers, only to vanish mysteriously into the night. The 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost special edition brings a modern twist to this iconic vehicle. It features a striking black-and-chrome design with distinctive black "gator skin" roof vinyl graphics reminiscent of the original model. This is wrapped around a beefed-up Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody, now pushing out an impressive 807 horsepower. In addition, the 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost is the sixth of seven special-edition models in Dodge's "Last Call" series. It joins the ranks of the previously introduced Dodge Challenger Shakedown, Dodge Charger Super Bee, Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger, and Dodge Charger King Daytona models. These special editions are a tribute to the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, which are changing their current forms.

The 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost "Last Call" model is an exclusive offering, with only 300 units in production. All 300 of these limited-edition vehicles will be Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody models, featuring a sleek Pitch Black exterior. Notable highlights of the 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost include a distinctive black "gator skin" roof vinyl, a prominent Bright Dodge fascia badge, striking white rear fender graphics, and various Challenger script grille, fender, and spoiler badges. The Midnight Metallic SRT grille badge adds a touch of sophistication, while the bright fuel filler door enhances the overall aesthetics. Performance-wise, it boasts a black six-piston Brembo brake system and a 3.09:1 rear axle ratio. Rolling on 20-by-11-inch Satin Carbon Warp Speed wheels, the Black Ghost also features black Mopar hood pins for a bold and aggressive look. Inside, you'll find an interior instrument panel badge bearing the Black Ghost name and plush Alcantara/Laguna leather seats and door bolsters. Notably, the 2023 Charger and Challenger R/T models will showcase new "345" fender badging, paying homage to the 345-cubic-inch HEMI® engine lurking under the hood. To mark this special year, every 2023 Dodge Charger and Challenger will sport an exclusive commemorative "Last Call" underhood plaque, adding to their desirability. This brushed aluminum plaque features the vehicle's name and silhouette, proudly stating "Designed in Auburn Hills" and "Assembled in Brampton" to signify each vehicle's place of origin. Furthermore, the brand is expanding the accessibility of its popular SRT Jailbreak models, first introduced earlier this year for the Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody. This expansion will remove color combination ordering restrictions and offer exclusive content. For the 2023 model year, Jailbreak models will also be accessible for the 717-horsepower Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat, allowing even more owners to create their own unique muscle car.
